Choosing a new set of bowstrings isn't always easy. There are plenty of manufacturers out there, and just about everyone says they build the best. We don't believe in flashy claims or secret formulas—we believe in doing things properly.

BCY is the American company whose bowstring and serving material we buy. Which of their materials suits your bow depends on the bow, so it stays a conversation rather than a dropdown: put the make and model on the order form, or call and ask before you order.

Compound sets are priced by how many strings and cables your bow runs. Recurve and traditional bows take a single string. Every one of them is made to the colours you choose.
We will confirm turnaround when we confirm your order. If you have a shoot to be ready for, say so on the form and Tim will tell you straight whether it can be done.
A compound set is five separate colour decisions, and none of them is fixed for you. This is one example, drawn to the same choices the order form asks for.

One string instead of a set. Up to two colours from a list of 16, six end serving colours or none at all, and the centre serving is always Black. No speed nocks.

I've used Big Fella's a few times now. Service has always been impeccable, and the work 2nd to none. One example was a PSE Mach 33 that I wanted re-strung. Big Fella's strings and cables actually brought the bow into specs with no adjustment, better than the factory set that came on the bow. Another example being a 12 year old Martin that I wanted to rebuild. String and cable information was proving hard to find. Not a problem for Tim. Was happy to go above and beyond to find what information was required. All in all, Top quality, fair price and Service hard to beat

Written on the order form, in your words. If the bow is old or unusual, tell us what you know and ask.
PSE Bows Require the Serial Number. HOYT Bows Require the Cam Number. On a recurve, if the length is unknown, provide the string length and details.
That is what sets the price: two or three, four or five, or six or seven.
String, speed nocks, end serving, centre serving. All of it saved on your order before anything is paid.
Count the strings and cables on the bow: that is what the three compound prices are for. If you are not sure, put the make and model on the order form and we will work it out from there before anything is made.
Yes. Choose "Not Required" for the second string colour and the whole string is made in your first colour. One colour is fine.
No. Speed nocks are a colour choice on a compound set: pick one of the ten colours or choose not required, and the price stays the same either way.
Treat the screen as a guide only. The printed charts are the reference, and all four of them are on the colour charts page so you can pick by the same colour names the order form uses.
Ask us anyway. Send the make, the model and anything you know about it, and Tim will tell you what he can do. Some of that information takes a bit of digging.
Shipping is included within Australia. If you would rather have them put on properly, Tim can fit the strings and tune the bow at the Argenton workshop for $80. All bow service work is done after 3pm. See bow services.
