BFBS gift cards, $50 to $150
You buy the amount. They choose the colours. A digital Big Fella's gift card takes the guesswork out of buying for an archer, because the person who shoots the bow is the one who picks what goes on it.
- $50, $75, $100 or $150
- Digital, nothing to post
- Nothing paid on this page
Strings are built to one bow, and one archer's taste
Every set that leaves the bench is made to measure for the bow it's going on. That's a lot to know about somebody else's gear, and none of it is on the shelf to check.
Eight things you would have to know
- The make and model of their bow
- How many strings and cables it runs, two through to seven
- The serial number, if it's a PSE
- The cam number, if it's a HOYT
- Their first string colour
- Their second colour, or whether they want one colour
- Speed nocks, and in what colour
- End serving and centre serving colours
Guess the cable count or the cam number and the set still gets made, just not for their bow. Made to order means made to what you told us.
Three things you already know
- How much you want to spend
- Their name, and yours
- Your email address, for the reference and the payment link
Then they build the set themselves with their own bow in front of them. If they would rather talk it through, they ring Tim on 0427 581 864.
Buy a gift cardHanding over the colour chart
Archers are particular about how a bow looks. The compound chart runs to more than fifty string colours, twenty end serving colours, eight centre serving colours and ten for speed nocks, and every one of those is a decision somebody gets to make. Recurve and traditional strings have their own shorter list.
Solids, two-tones and the camo patterns are all on there, which is how one set ends up fluro orange and black and the next one comes out pink.
Fluro Orange & Black string, Black servings, Yellow speed nocks
Pink with White, Silver end serving, Black centre serving
Camo string, OD Green end serving, Medium Brown / Tan centre serving, Red speed nocks
Screen colours are a guide; the printed chart is the reference. See the colour charts.
What happens after you buy one
Four steps, and a person at both ends of them. Nothing is paid until Tim has confirmed the card with you.
-
You fill in the form
The amount, the name on the card and your message. It's saved with a reference like BFBS-7K3QX and sent to Tim, and you get the reference and the amount by email.
-
Tim confirms it
He checks the details with you and sends the payment link. Nothing is paid before that, so the amount and the message can still change.
-
The card is theirs
Digital, so there's nothing to post. If it's for a particular date, tell us in the message so Tim knows.

Gift card questions
I have no idea what bow they shoot
Then a card is the right call. The string builder asks for the make and model, the number of strings and cables, and the serial or cam number on PSE and HOYT bows. All of that's easy for them and awkward for you.
Which amount should I pick?
A recurve or traditional string is $45. A full compound set is $145 for two or three strings, $155 for four or five, $185 for six or seven. Pick the card that sits closest to what you want it to cover.
Can I get a different amount?
Four amounts are on this page: $50, $75, $100 and $150. If you want something else, call Tim on 0427 581 864 and he will sort it out with you.
What can it be put towards, and does it run out?
Ask Tim when you order and he will tell you exactly how yours works. He confirms every card himself before anything is paid, so nothing about it gets decided without you.
How does it get to them?
It's a digital card, so there's nothing to post. Tell us the name to put on it and the date it's for, and Tim confirms how you want it delivered when he confirms the card.
Do they have to order online?
No. They can build the order themselves on the order page, or ring the workshop and go through it with Tim. Either way the specification is written down and confirmed before anything is made.
Can they use it on a bow service?
Bow fitting and tuning happens at the workshop in Argenton, after 3pm, and is booked on the bow services page. Whether a card covers a booking is worth asking Tim when he confirms it.
